ROTC Leadership Award
ROTC Leadership Award
The ROTC Leadership Award is designed to recognize outstanding leadership potential and achievement among cadets and midshipmen enrolled in ROTC/JROTC programs at high schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools across North Carolina.
To qualify for this honor, each cadet or midshipman must meet the following criteria:
- Be an underclassman (seniors are not eligible)
- Demonstrate a positive attitude toward ROTC/JROTC and country
- Hold a leadership role within the cadet corps
- Be actively involved in school and community activities
- Maintain a “B” average or higher in all subjects for the previous semester
- Have not previously received this award
The award is presented annually during a formal ceremony. Whenever possible, the presentation is made by a local MOPH (Military Order of the Purple Heart) member, emphasizing the connection between our nation’s combat-wounded veterans and future military leaders. You can locate a local presenter through the “Find A Chapter” page on our website.
